Today took me down to the record stores on Bleecker Street. I thought I should buy my favorite album or song, but then I remembered that I don’t have a favorite anything. Annoying at times like this.
So I looked through old country music that reminded me of my Dad, the big van, and countless Saturday drives up the canyon to go skiing. Then Joni Mitchel,Reba, Soundtracks, and Showtunes. I finally settled on You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown. The first show I ever worked on backstage, running 2 mics as a 9th grader at Hillcrest Jr. High.
So I’ll hang this up on my wall and be glad that it happened because I’m here now. But if they’d had The Gambler, I would’ve bought that too.
