I don’t have kids. Obviously.
I do have 2 nieces and 2 nephews, and those little pumpkins are the most important kids in the world to me. Today I started a new tradition called ‘Lizzie Trips’. (The name probably needs work.) On these trips, all kids older than 8 will be able to come. Right now, Robbie is the only one old enough so it’s just the two of us.
I’m not able to take him to nyc with me yet, so we had to do the next best thing. Las Vegas, baby!!! We are spending a night and a few days at the New York New York hotel in Vegas. It’s been fun to spend time with this guy without the interruption of his very adorable but sometimes quite needy siblings.
We’ve been having a fantastic time.
These kids are the closest thing I’ve got to my own kids (for now), and I’m so happy that I get to spend so much time with them. I had a lot of wonderful grownups in my life when I was a kid, so I’m happy to be that person for them now.
Hopefully in the years to come, I’ll also be able to spend Son’s and Daughter’s day with my own kids.
