December 9th – National Pastry Day

I woke up at 5am today to go down and take pictures at Rockefeller Center. The lights turn on at 5:30, and if you go in the morning there will be fewer crowds. Or so I heard.

When we got there at 6am, it was pouring rain and we were the only ones there. We took pictures until we were soaking wet, then made our way in to the nearest diner that was open. That’s where I got this pastry.

So, Happy Pastry Day to the city with pastries on every corner.

If you are ever in New York around the holidays and want unobstructed photos of the Rockefeller Christmas tree, go in the morning. It was so worth it to me.
