June 29th – National Camera Day

I take a lot of pictures and videos, but I shy away from calling myself a photographer. There are people out there who take great pride in that title. I do enjoy taking pictures and just love how easy it is these days.

We can have the nicest camera, but if it isn’t with us and we aren’t using it, then what’s the point.

So I walked over to the park today and took a few photos, then gave them titles. That seemed like something a photographer would do.

I also feel that Camera Day seems like a great time for me to recommend an app to help keep all your photos organized. Google Photos just updated their app, and it’s a winner. Available on both Android and iOS (free), Google Photos helps you to share, search, and organize pictures so that you don’t just have thousands of unused files on your computer.

My sister was asking about a picture from 2013 the other Day and it took me less than 30 seconds to find it because of the facial recognition feature.

The best part? Google is providing FREE UNLIMITED storage for all photos. You can set it up to upload all pictures you take from your phone when you are connected to WiFi. Look in to it. I’m a fan.
