The only National Day option today was Chop Suey Day. I decided not to do this today, because I’m not a huge fan of the chop suey I had last year on this day.
So…Family Fun Month!
How perfect is it that I’ve been spending the entire month of August with my family in Utah and Texas? It’s been a blast. Today, we drove to the little town of Fredericksburg in TX. We ate German food and looked at the shops.
I also went to this adorable pie shop and got peach pie that was so good. I actually don’t remember if I’ve ever had peach pie before. This could have been a first!
The older and wiser I get, the more I understand that family is the most important. Life can be confusing, scary, and hard, but my family makes it a little easier. Spending this past month with them has been wonderful. And important.
My trip is nearing an end and I’m starting to get sad about that, but today was awesome. We just hung out as a family and looked around and ate food.
I spent too much money on food today.
I don’t think I regret it.
