For the first time in this trek to Mordor, my miles have occurred outside the area of New York City. Boy was it nice to get out! To celebrate our Nation’s Independence, I went do to visit some friends in Washington DC. We had a weekend of adventures and miles and America. It was nice.

I’ve arrived at The Prancing Pony in Bree! I would like to note that The Hobbits did spend a chunk of the past several miles on ponies. I didn’t though. I’ve been walking. It feels great to get over the mountains and out of the Shire. I will need to purchase a new pair of shoes

Today is another travel day. My trip has come to an end, and I’m heading back to New York. Fortunately, I was still able to celebrate Coffee Cake Day in the Denver airport. I’m pretty proud of myself for that. This was my first experience with coffee cake. Yum! I can only imagine how tasty
