January 19th – Martin Luther King Day and National Popcorn Day

I worked for most of the day so I wasn’t able to attend any of the MLK Events around the city. I even missed the protest that came right past my front door. This is not something that I can let happen again next year.

I did take some time out today to watch Doctor King’s “I Have A Dream” speech on YouTube. (See Here) I am so inspired by that man. He saw an injustice and made a difference.

My general feeling about the 60’s is how angry I get when I see how bad things were, but then at the same time I’m inspired and jealous that it was a time of so much change.

“Our only hope today lies in our ability to recapture the revolutionary spirit and go out into a sometimes hostile world declaring eternal hostility to poverty, racism, and militarism.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

What’s Tomorrow?
