September 22nd – National American Business Women’s Day, Ice Cream Cone Day, Autumnal Equinox, Car Free Day, & Dear Diary Day

So many things to celebrate today!

I went to a Cleveland Indians Game tonight. (We lost.)

I did have a great time with my friend Tali. Tali is the first person I think of when I hear American Business Woman. She has been a successful business woman for years, but is now ready for change and heading to New York City to focus on her writing and passion for jewelry. For more info on Tali’s books and adventures check out her site – talinaybooks.com

We also celebrated with Ice Cream Cones.

I was doing some research on how to celebrate Autumnal Equinox and came across 10 Ways To Celebrate Mabon. (Mabon is the Autumnal Equinox.) I chose option #4 – Count Your Blessings.

So, while sitting in the nose bleed section at Progressive Field, Tali and I thought about what we were grateful for and listed the first 5 things that came to mind. These are in no particular order.

Tali – Indoor Plumbing, The Gospel, Family, Hand Warmers (it was a chilly night), and Health.

Lizzie’s – The Cleveland Play House, Nicely Shaped Head, Technology, The Gospel, and Supportive Friends and Family.

I did not use a car today, but that isn’t much of a sacrifice because I don’t use a car most days. I walked to and from the game, which was quite enjoyable.

Finally, Dear Diary Day. So, dear blog diary – today was a wonderful day where I got to celebrate Cleveland, spend time with a friend, and count my blessings. I love going to athletic events for several reasons, but one of them is that it helps me feel so much more connected to the city, community, and people. There is something about being together and cheering for a common team that is so unifying. So, I enjoyed that tonight.

The day is winding down, but I encourage you all to take a moment to count and list your blessings. What a wonderful way to celebrate the changing of seasons. Think of all the abundance of good in your life. Appreciate and store it up for the winter. And, if you feel so inclined, list your blessings in the comments section below.
