It’s Memorial Weekend and I’m racking up the miles. On my Hobbit Journey I have met up with Strider and we have just left Bree. I wonder why Galdalf didn’t meet us like he said he would? Summer is coming. It’s harder for me to walk long distances in the summer than in the winter.

I’ve arrived at The Prancing Pony in Bree! I would like to note that The Hobbits did spend a chunk of the past several miles on ponies. I didn’t though. I’ve been walking. It feels great to get over the mountains and out of the Shire. I will need to purchase a new pair of shoes

Over the course of today, I worked at 3 different jobs in different locations around the city. Oh the joy of freelance. So, these 4.1 miles were obtained almost exclusively through walking to and from these jobs. I was glad for this time, because I was in the crazy climax of Harry Potter 5. This
